3rd Grade
3rd grade created beautiful artwork by integrating science and art to create moon phases over a mountain sky. Students learned about using cool and warm colors. They learned how to paint wet on wet with watercolor. They also created realistic mountains using sharpie with shadows and texture. Last, students created moon textured paper by creating bubbles with liquid watercolor, dish soap, and food coloring. Then they drew the moon phases on the back of the paper, cut them out, and glue them in the sky.
