Privacy
Your consent is required for our team to meet with your students to discuss
topics of:

  • Political affiliations or political philosophies
  • Mental or psychological concerns
  • Sexual behavior, orientation, gender identity, or attitudes
  • Illegal, anti-social, self-incriminating, or demeaning behavior
  • Critical appraisals of individuals with whom the student of family member has close family relationships
  • Religious affiliations or belief
  • Legally recognized privileged and analogous relationships, such as those with lawyers, medical personnel, or ministers
  • Income, except as required by law

What We Do
Provide social, emotional, or behavioral counseling or support to students with disabilities as part of an Individualized Education
Plan (IEP), Section 504 Accommodation Plan, or general education students

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Our Roles

The School Psychologist

  • Complete special education evaluations
  • Manage Section 504 evaluations and plans
  • Support teachers with academic interventions

The School Counselor

  • Implement a Utah College and Career Readiness Program
  • Deliver classroom guidance lessons

 

We Both

  • Serve general education and special education students in individual or small group settings for social, mental, or behavioral needs to improve functioning in the school setting
  • Provide guidance on the In Focus SEL curriculum
  • Implement threat assessments for students in crisis
  • Refer students and families to community resources
  • Advocate for students in IEP and 504 meetings
  • Support teachers and students with behavior interventions
  • Oversee the use and maintenance of the Wellness room

SOCIAL EMOTIONAL LEARNING CURRICULUM

Education and therapeutic support to
empower and give parents hope as you
support your child’s mental health.
Trained, caring professionals can provide free resources, services, and support. We can visit your home or do visits virtually. You can call for help 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. A mobile crisis response team can help address urgent challenges your child is having. These services are free to everyone in Utah, no matter where you live. A toolbox of information and resources for
you as you navigate online safety for your
child.
Information for you, as a parent of Eastlake with a child who is learning the In Focus Social, Emotional Wellness curriculum. There are parent guides as well, so please reach out to your student’s teacher if you are interested in those!
